This is a collaboration with Mr West to celebrate their 5th birthday. Born out of a mutual love for farmhouse ales and pilsners.

Brewed with 100% Australian grown grains.
Floor malted - Pilsner & Munich from House of Malt (VIC). Hopped heavily in the boil & whirlpool w/ Tettnang (DE), Saaz (CZ) & Hallertau Mittelfrüh (DE) to 40 IBU.

Primary fermentation occured in a single puncheon w/ a blend of lager strains for 8 weeks. We fermented cold at a starting temperature of 10 C.
We decided not to inoculate with brett. and let the residing microbes in the staves impart their own character.

Packaged on May 21st 2022 and can conditioned for 6 weeks. The stock was then moved to Mr West's cool room where it lagered for 8 weeks prior to release.

Aromas of creamy grains, sage & lemon verbena with an underlying funk that integrates the prior components.
Firm bitterness, super crisp with a smooth body that demands another sip.

'Anomaly' means something that deviates from what is standard, normal, or expected.

This beer probably shouldn't exist but we are glad it does.
